The Equerry 55 building is in Essex, about 25 miles from Stansted Airport, straight down the M11. Junction 8 southbound, junction 8a coming back north. In normal traffic it is around 30 minutes.
Most owners would rather not make that journey twice around a flight. Collection from a home, an office or a garage before you fly, and delivery back on the day you land, can both be arranged.
That distance matters for one reason only. It is short enough that a car can be turned around quickly if your trip moves, which on short haul flying it often does.

If your return date changes, the car stays in storage and the return delivery is rearranged for the new date.

The building is on a gated private estate in Essex. Cameras, alarm and controlled entry, keys held away from the cars, and access by appointment only.
On top of the hardware there is the fact that nothing about the site advertises what is inside it. There is no sign, the address is not published, and it is shared with approved clients only.

Do I have to leave the car for three months?
No. Three months is the minimum charge, not a minimum stay. Collect the car after a week if you want to and the three month minimum charge still applies.
How far is the facility from Stansted Airport?

Can you collect the car before my flight and return it when I land?

Is this different from airport parking?
Airport parking is priced by the day and the car sits outside for the whole trip. Equerry 55 is a fixed monthly price with the car indoors, covered, on a battery conditioner and checked while you are away.
Is the car indoors the whole time?
Vehicles remain indoors while stored at the Equerry 55 facility, apart from movement that has been authorised for collection, delivery, servicing, MOT testing or other agreed work.
What happens if my flight is delayed or my trip is extended?
The car stays in storage and the return delivery is rearranged for the new date.
Does the car need to stay insured while it is stored?
Yes. The owner keeps full insurance on the car for the whole storage term.
