Car Storage Prices
Most facilities will not publish a figure. These are ours. Car storage prices at Equerry 55 start at £250 plus VAT per month for The Stable and £350 plus VAT per month for The Keep, with a three month minimum charge and no charge to access your own car.

Car Storage Prices published in full
Ask most facilities what Car Storage Costs and you get a form to fill in. Equerry 55 publishes the numbers, because an owner comparing options deserves to know the car storage price before spending twenty minutes on an enquiry.
Two plans, two monthly figures, both plus VAT. Everything outside those two figures is quoted separately and agreed with you before anything is booked. No access charges, no handling fees, nothing that appears on an invoice you did not expect.
What follows is the full Car Storage Cost picture: what each plan includes, what changes the price, and what sits outside it.
What the Car Storage Price actually buys
Every car receives the same indoor care from the day it is checked in, whatever plan it is on and however long it stays. This is the baseline the Car Storage Cost is built on.
- Secure indoor car storage
- Controlled humidity targeted at fifty five percent relative humidity
- Winter temperature protection around ten to twelve degrees Celsius
- Battery conditioning
- Breathable indoor car cover
- Photos taken when the car arrives
- Mileage recorded at check in
- Tyre pressures recorded at check in
- Fluid levels checked at check in
- Keys kept away from the car
- Private access by appointment, at no extra charge
Why Car Storage Prices vary so widely
Two facilities can quote a similar monthly figure for completely different services. Understanding what moves the number is more useful than chasing the lowest one.
Indoor or outdoor. The single biggest factor in any car storage price. Outdoor and covered yard storage is cheaper because the car is still exposed to rain, frost and temperature swings, just behind a fence.
Environment control. A building that manages humidity and winter temperature costs more to run than a cold shed, and that sits in the Car Storage Cost. It is also the difference between preserving a car and slowly ruining one.
Location. Storage inside the M25 carries London property costs. Facilities further out are usually cheaper for the same specification, which is why many London owners store outside the city and use collection and delivery instead.
Level of care. Storing a car and looking after a car are different services. Battery conditioning, tyre pressure checks, fluid checks and engine runs take someone's time, and any car storage price that includes them reflects that.
Vehicle value. Higher value cars can require prior approval and different insurance arrangements, which affects the quotation.

“In the beginning I looked around and could not find quite the car I dreamed of, so I decided to build it myself.”
Same reason this exists. Nowhere kept cars the way we wanted our own kept, so we built it.

Car Storage Prices for classic, prestige and performance cars
Standard car storage prices cover classic cars, modern classics, prestige cars, performance cars, supercars, collector cars and rare cars with low mileage.
The plan is chosen around the car, how long it will stay and how much hands on care the owner wants during that time, rather than around the size of the vehicle.
When paying for car storage makes sense
Winter storage
A few months of Car Storage Cost against a winter of frost, damp and road salt on an open driveway.
Long term storage
A managed indoor place for a car that will not turn a wheel for several months or longer.
Travel and time abroad
Long projects and time overseas leave a car standing. It is looked after while you are away.
No garage at home
Allocated bays, permit streets and shared driveways leave nowhere sensible to keep a good car.
House moves and building work
Keep the car clear of dust, scaffolding and trades while the house is worked on.
Getting a car ready for sale
Store the car while service work, detailing, photography and viewings are arranged.
A growing collection

Return delivery
The car is prepared and brought back when you want to use it again, quoted separately.

Pricing note
Prices shown apply to standard vehicle storage. High value or specialist vehicles may require prior approval and a bespoke quotation depending on declared value, insurance requirements and any special handling requirements.
“The best Ferrari ever built is the next one.”
Fifty five percent relative humidity. Ten to twelve degrees through winter. Checked on a schedule and written down, so the next car is kept better than the last.

What sits outside the Car Storage Price
Three things are not in the monthly figure, and it is better to say so plainly than to bury it.
Insurance. The owner keeps full insurance on the car for the entire storage term. That is a cost you carry regardless of where the car sits.
Transport. Collection, delivery and covered transport are quoted separately, because the cost depends on distance and whether the car can be driven.
Outside work. MOT, servicing, detailing, paint care, photography and sale preparation are arranged through Equerry 55 and invoiced separately. Every one is agreed with you, with the cost, before it starts.
Nothing else is added to the monthly Car Storage Cost. There is no access fee, no in and out charge and no handling charge.
What a lower Car Storage Price usually leaves out
A home garage. Free, and the most expensive option if the car matters. An unheated garage tracks the outside air, holds damp against the car all winter and nobody checks the battery.
A self storage unit. Cheaper per month. No humidity control, no temperature management, no battery conditioning, no covers, no condition record and nobody looks at the car between your visits.
An outdoor or covered yard. Cheaper again. The car is still outside in every way that matters.
A managed indoor facility. The car storage price covers a controlled environment and active care. Corrosion, a flat battery, flat spots on tyres and a seized brake are all products of an unmanaged space, and all of them cost more to put right than the storage saved.
The useful question is not what Car Storage Costs. It is what the price includes, and whether the car comes out in the condition it went in.

Car Storage Prices for collection and concierge
Collection and delivery can be arranged across Essex, London and the surrounding counties, and further afield by agreement. Covered transport can be booked for cars that should not be driven, whether because of value, condition or a long period off the road.
Concierge Management is available to clients on either plan and gives one point of contact for MOT work, servicing, detailing, paint protection, photography, sale preparation and paperwork.
All of it is quoted separately from the monthly car storage price, and every cost is agreed with you before anything is booked.
- Collection and delivery
- Covered car transport
- MOT booking
- Service work
- Detailing
- Paint care
- Car photos
- Sale prep
- Paperwork help
- Number plate help
- Getting the car ready after storage
“Small things make perfection, but perfection is no small thing.”
Batteries sulphate. Tyres flat-spot. Fluids draw water and brakes bind. None of it is dramatic and all of it is expensive.
High value cars and bespoke quotations
Standard car storage prices cover standard vehicle storage. Where a car carries a high declared value, unusual insurance requirements or special handling needs, a bespoke quotation is provided instead.
That is not a way of charging more for a nicer car. It is because those vehicles change what the facility has to confirm before accepting them, and it is better settled in advance than discovered later.
Cars are kept inside the private facility in Essex. Visits, access and car movements are all controlled, which keeps the site quiet and keeps what is inside it private.
Equerry 55 also provides Car Storage Essex, Car Storage Near Me and Classic Car Storage from the same private Essex facility.
- Private indoor site
- Gated private estate
- Cameras and alarm
- Controlled entry
- Keys kept away from the cars
- Access by appointment
