Car storage locations
Secure indoor car storage in Essex for owners across London, the home counties and the rest of the UK. Collection and delivery can be arranged either end, so the distance between you and the car is ours to cover.

Car storage for London owners
A permit bay puts a car on a public street with strangers walking past it every hour. A shared undercroft is no better, and a mews garage costs what a house costs elsewhere.
Fifty minutes out of town, behind a shutter, brought back to the door when it is wanted.
Areas covered: Hampstead, Kensington, Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Mayfair.
Car storage across the South East
Houses bought for the setting rather than the garage. The car ends up under a cover on a gravel drive, which is where the frost and the bird mess find it.
The M25 makes the run practical in either direction, so a car can be collected in the morning and inside by the afternoon.
Areas covered: Surrey, Cobham, Weybridge, Virginia Water and Beaconsfield.
Car storage across the East
Home ground. Storage is in Essex, which makes this the shortest journey any client makes, and the M11 runs straight up the corridor into Cambridgeshire.
Period cottages with no garage, listed frontages that cannot be altered, and new developments where the house comes with a driveway and nothing else.
Areas covered: Essex, Loughton, Chigwell, Brentwood and Radlett.

“In the beginning I looked around and could not find quite the car I dreamed of, so I decided to build it myself.”
Same reason this exists. Nowhere kept cars the way we wanted our own kept, so we built it.

Car storage for the South West
Stone outbuildings and converted barns hold damp against a car for half the year, and on the coast there is salt in the air on top of it.
Transport up the M4 or the A303 happens once at each end rather than every month.
Areas covered: Sandbanks, Bath, Cheltenham, Clifton and Salcombe.
Car storage for the East Midlands
Stone market towns where the garage was a cart shed and still behaves like one. Unheated, unsealed, and tracking the outside air all winter.
The A1 and the M1 both come down to us, and it is one journey at the start and one at the end.
Areas covered: Stamford, West Bridgford, Oakham, Market Harborough and Bakewell.
Car storage for the West Midlands
Cars that come out a handful of times a year, for a show, a tour or a good weekend, and spend the rest of it standing.
Standing is the part that does the damage, and it is the part storage is built around.
Areas covered: Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Stratford-upon-Avon, Kenilworth and Leamington Spa.
Car storage for Yorkshire owners
Long winters and heavily salted roads, which is a hard combination for anything with chrome, an older underside or paint worth keeping.
Cars come down for the season and go back when the roads are clean.
Areas covered: Harrogate, Ilkley, Wetherby, York and Beverley.
“The best Ferrari ever built is the next one.”
Fifty five percent relative humidity. Ten to twelve degrees through winter. Checked on a schedule and written down, so the next car is kept better than the last.

Car storage for the North West
Cheshire sends cars down regularly, usually because the owner wants a controlled environment rather than somewhere close by.
Straight down the M6 and the M1, on a transporter, twice in total.
Areas covered: Alderley Edge, Prestbury, Wilmslow, Knutsford and Hale.
Car storage for the North East
The longest leg on the list, which makes it a transporter job rather than a drive.
For a car being put away for a winter, a year or the length of a posting abroad, that leg happens twice and then never again.
Areas covered: Darras Hall, Ponteland, Wynyard, Gosforth and Jesmond.
Car storage for Welsh owners
The M4 and the Severn crossing make the south of the country a straightforward run.
It is a longer transport leg than the home counties and it is quoted accordingly, agreed before anything is booked.
Areas covered: Cardiff, Penarth, Cowbridge, Monmouth and Usk.
Car storage while you are flying
Standard long-stay airport parking is generally priced by the day, with the car left parked for the duration of the trip. Over weeks or months that is a bill that keeps running and a car nobody is looking at.
Collection before the flight and delivery for the day you land can be arranged from all four.
Areas covered: Stansted, London City, Heathrow and Luton.
Stansted Airport Car Storage. London City Airport Car Storage. Heathrow Airport Car Storage. Luton Airport Car Storage.
Storage by what the car needs
Not every enquiry starts with a place. Some start with the car, or with how long it is going to sit, or with what happened last time it was left somewhere.
These pages cover it from that angle instead.

“Small things make perfection, but perfection is no small thing.”
Batteries sulphate. Tyres flat-spot. Fluids draw water and brakes bind. None of it is dramatic and all of it is expensive.

Do I need to be near Essex to use Equerry 55?

Is the car stored indoors?
Vehicles remain indoors while stored at the Equerry 55 facility, apart from movement that has been authorised for collection, delivery, servicing, MOT testing or other agreed work.
Can you collect a car from outside the areas listed here?

Wherever the car is now, tell us about it.
