Vehicle Care and Preservation
Are the cars kept in a humidity controlled environment?
Yes. Equerry 55 uses humidity controlled car storage and targets fifty five percent relative humidity. Stable humidity helps reduce damp, condensation and corrosion risk during storage.
Why is fifty five percent relative humidity important for car storage?
Fifty five percent relative humidity is a practical target for vehicle preservation because it helps reduce damp air and condensation risk. This is especially important for classic car storage, prestige car storage and long term car storage.
Does humidity controlled car storage help reduce corrosion risk?
Yes. Humidity controlled car storage can help reduce the conditions that contribute to corrosion. Equerry 55 targets fifty five percent relative humidity to support a cleaner and more stable storage environment.
Does humidity control help protect classic cars?
Yes. Classic cars are often more vulnerable to damp, condensation, ageing seals, older wiring and metal corrosion. Controlled humidity, indoor storage and careful battery management can help reduce common storage risks.
Is the facility heated in winter?
During colder months, Equerry 55 manages the storage environment to help protect vehicles from extreme cold. The target winter temperature range is around ten to twelve degrees Celsius.
Do you use battery conditioners during storage?
Yes. Vehicles are connected to suitable battery conditioners where the vehicle electrical system allows. Battery conditioning is included with both The Stable and The Keep.
Do you check battery conditioner status?
Yes. Battery conditioner status is checked as part of the storage care process. The Keep includes weekly battery conditioner status checks.

Yes. Tyre pressures are checked at check in for all stored vehicles. Vehicles on The Keep also receive monthly tyre pressure checks.
What is TyreDox support?
TyreDox support helps reduce tyre flat spotting risk during storage by spreading the tyre contact area more evenly. TyreDox support is included with The Keep.
Do you use drip trays under stored cars?
Yes. The Keep includes a drip tray placed under the vehicle. This helps monitor any visible fluid weeping or leaks during storage.
Do you check for fluid leaks?

Should I add fuel stabiliser before car storage?

Equerry 55 does not add fuel stabiliser automatically, but we can advise on fuel preparation and coordinate it as a quoted concierge service with owner approval.

For many petrol vehicles, a full tank can help reduce air space inside the tank and reduce condensation risk during storage. Fuel preparation depends on the vehicle, fuel type and storage length, so owners should confirm the right approach before check in.
Should I change the oil before storing my car?
For vehicles entering storage for three months or more, fresh oil before storage is recommended where possible. Old oil can contain moisture and combustion byproducts, so an oil and filter service can be coordinated before storage through Concierge Management. If the oil was not changed before storage, a post storage oil and filter service can be arranged before regular road use.
Do you offer brake fluid moisture testing?

Will my car be ready to drive after long term car storage?
