“In the beginning I looked around and could not find quite the car I dreamed of, so I decided to build it myself.”
Same reason this exists. Nowhere kept cars the way we wanted our own kept, so we built it.

Prestige cars and luxury cars, whatever the age
Equerry 55 stores prestige cars, luxury cars, supercars, performance cars, modern classics and collector cars.
There is no age or value bracket. A car does not have to be rare, new or expensive to be worth keeping properly, and every car in the building is kept in the same conditions as every other.
The plan is chosen around the car, the length of stay and the level of care required.
When Luxury Car Storage Scotland makes sense
A car too visible at home
A driveway anyone can see from the road, or a car that draws more attention outside the house than the owner wants.
No garage, or the wrong one
An underground bay, a carport, or an outbuilding that runs colder and damper than the air outside it.
Away, or working abroad
The car is kept and looked after rather than left on a drive at an empty house while nobody is there.
One car too many
More space without taking on another building, another lease or another set of keys to keep track of.
A move or building work
Trades, vans, dust and people who were not there last week. Move the car out before the work starts.
Between owners
Kept properly while a sale, a valuation or a purchase is arranged, with a condition record from the day it arrived.
A private collection
Several cars in one building, in one environment, with one point of contact rather than a different arrangement for each.
A new delivery
A car that has arrived before there is anywhere proper to keep it, taken straight into controlled indoor storage.
A car that is rarely used
Driven a few times a year and standing the rest of it, which is when scheduled care matters more than mileage.

Fifty five percent relative humidity. Ten to twelve degrees through winter. Checked on a schedule and written down, so the next car is kept better than the last.

What a prestige car needs while it is stored
Six things decide whether a car is being stored or simply parked somewhere else.
Discretion
The storage address is not publicly advertised and access is controlled. Visits are by appointment arranged in advance, and the building is not open to the public.
Controlled access
Every car is photographed and logged when it arrives. Any movement of the vehicle is recorded, and keys are held apart from the vehicle.
A record from day one
Condition photographs, mileage and tyre pressures are taken at check in, with anything you want noted about the car. That record is the reference point for the whole stay.
A humidity controlled environment
Humidity is managed to a target of fifty five percent relative humidity, with winter temperature held around ten to twelve degrees Celsius, under a breathable indoor cover.
Battery and electronics
A modern prestige car draws current even when parked. Every car goes on battery conditioning the day it arrives, and on The Keep the conditioner status is checked weekly.
Tyres and brakes
Pressures are recorded at check in and checked monthly on The Keep, which also includes TyreDox support. On The Keep the engine is run to operating temperature every sixty days and brake binding is checked.
The Stable holds the environment, the battery and the cover. The Keep adds the scheduled checks, the drip tray monitoring and the engine runs. Scheduled checks are carried out according to the chosen storage plan.

South for the winter, and back for the season
The building is in Essex. From Edinburgh or Glasgow that is around four hundred miles, and there is no point pretending otherwise.
Scottish cars come here on covered transport and almost always on a seasonal pattern. The car goes south at the end of the driving season and comes back prepared before the first run of the spring, so the journey happens twice a year rather than every month.
We serve owners across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Perth, St Andrews, Stirling, Dunblane, Bearsden, Newton Mearns and the Borders.

Getting the car in and out
Collection and return delivery can be arranged from your home, garage, dealer or specialist at a time agreed in advance.
Covered transport is available where required or preferred. Cars without MOT or tax are accepted by prior agreement.
Servicing, MOT work, detailing, paint care, photography and sale preparation can all be arranged through one contact and are quoted before anything is booked.
Any outside work and costs are agreed with you before the work starts. Full storage rates are published on the car storage prices page.

“Small things make perfection, but perfection is no small thing.”
Batteries sulphate. Tyres flat-spot. Fluids draw water and brakes bind. None of it is dramatic and all of it is expensive.

Luxury Car Storage Scotland FAQs
How much does luxury car storage cost?
The Stable is £250 plus VAT per month. The Keep is £350 plus VAT per month. Both carry a minimum charge equivalent to three months. High value or specialist vehicles may require prior approval and a bespoke quotation.
How far is the facility from Scotland?
The building is in Essex. From Edinburgh or Glasgow that is around four hundred miles, and there is no point pretending otherwise. Collection and return delivery can be arranged both ways.
What counts as a prestige or luxury car?
There is no age or value bracket. Prestige cars, luxury cars, modern and older cars, supercars, performance cars and collector cars are all stored in the same building and under the same conditions.
How private is the storage?
The storage address is not publicly advertised and access is controlled. Visits are by appointment arranged in advance, and the building is not open to the public.
Who can get to the car?
Access is controlled and by appointment. Every car is photographed and logged when it arrives, and any movement of the vehicle is recorded. Keys are held apart from the vehicle.
What is recorded when the car arrives?
Condition photographs, mileage and tyre pressures are recorded at check in, along with anything you want noted about the car. That record is the reference point for the whole stay.
Can you collect a car from Scotland?
Yes. Collection and return delivery can be arranged from your home, garage, dealer or specialist in and around Scotland, at a time agreed in advance. Covered transport is available where required or preferred.
What conditions is the car kept in?
Humidity is managed to a target of fifty five percent relative humidity, with winter temperature held around ten to twelve degrees Celsius. Every car is under a breathable indoor cover, in a humidity controlled indoor unit rather than an unheated garage, a barn or a container.
What happens to the battery and the electronics?
Every car goes on battery conditioning the day it arrives. A modern prestige car draws current even when parked, and a full discharge can lose stored settings as well as flatten the battery. On The Keep the conditioner status is checked weekly.
What is done about the tyres?
Pressures are recorded at check in and checked monthly on The Keep, which also includes TyreDox support to help reduce flat spotting risk. Tyres deform where they sit, and a stiff low profile sidewall is the least forgiving case.
What care does each plan include?
The Stable holds the environment, the battery and the cover. The Keep adds TyreDox support, scheduled weekly and monthly checks, drip tray monitoring and an engine run to full operating temperature every sixty days. Scheduled checks are carried out according to the chosen storage plan.
Does the car need its own insurance?
Yes. The owner keeps comprehensive insurance for the vehicle’s full market value throughout storage. Check with your insurer whether a laid up or storage policy is available, and confirm the position before the car comes in.
Can I come and see the car?
Yes. Access is available by private appointment arranged in advance.
Is there a minimum term?
Three months is the minimum term and the minimum charge. Beyond that, storage continues for as long as you need it, with the return arranged when you are ready for the car.
How does the car get to you?
Driven in, or brought on covered transport. Covered transport is available where required or preferred, and cars without MOT or tax are accepted by prior agreement because a stored car is not being driven on a public road.
Can the car be ready to drive when I collect it?
Yes. Recommissioning, servicing, MOT work, detailing and paint care can all be arranged through one contact and are quoted and agreed before anything is booked. Book it when you book the return and the car goes home ready to use.
